Get Acquainted

Through LearnServe’s guidance, my anger turned into passion and my passion turned into action.
LearnServe Incubator students (‘17) Zoha (left) and Hannah (right) run a book drive for their social venture HER Education that builds libraries at girls schools in Pakistan.

Test your assumptions. Pilot your ideas. Refine your program model. Translate your ideas into action.

The LearnServe Incubator maximizes the impact of promising social ventures proposed by LearnServe Fellows and other youth social entrepreneurs in the DC area. The LearnServe Incubator introduces students to the Lean Startup entrepreneurship model. They engage in customer discovery, create a minimum viable product, reflect on program sustainability, and pitch for seed funding at a year-end business plan competition.

Get Involved +

The LearnServe Incubator is open to high school students at public, charter, and independent schools in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

The program meets every other week, September through April, on Monday afternoons from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at metro accessible locations. We alternate between Deep Dive Sessions to learn and apply the key elements of the Lean Startup model to students’ social ventures, and Site Visits to local innovative companies and social enterprises.

The LearnServe Incubator requires a non-refundable enrollment fee of $500.00 to be paid once accepted into the program. Need-based scholarships are available. For more information email our Programs Manager Alessandra Clará
